It’s A ‘Matcha’ Made In Heaven

Matcha is one of those flavours that people either love or hate. So what’s all the hype about anyway?

If you don’t like matcha, you probably just haven’t tasted it well-made yet. Newbies usually go for a matcha latte, and to be honest, not everywhere makes a good one.

Second to that is eating matcha flavoured foods. If you’ve been to Japan, you’ll know it’s popular and widely available, from bakeries to ice cream.

To be honest, matcha has to grow on you. I think the flavour is all about balance. Matcha is best enjoyed sweetened in my opinion - especially using honey or brown sugar.

For me, there’s just something about the sweet earthy taste, paired with white chocolate that makes it simply delicious. Together, it almost resembles an earthy yet caramelised blonde chocolate taste. The most unusual combination I’ve tried is a matcha and mint oreo - it just didn’t work!

If you’re curious about matcha, or a fan, you can order matcha cupcakes here at The Cupcake Avenue. Using quality green tea topped with white chocolate pieces, you won’t regret it!
